Best Convection Ovens in 2026: Countertop Convection Toaster Ovens and Double Ovens Ranked by Owners

Eight convection ovens ranked by capacity, heat, presets and owner reviews: BLACK+DECKER 8-slice and 4-slice, Cuisinart Chef, KitchenAid Dual, Nuwave Bravo XL Pro, Ninja Double, Elite Gourmet.

Our top pickBLACK+DECKER TO3250XSBD 8-Slice Extra Wi…8.6Our score

A convection oven adds a fan to the heating elements, and that one fan changes how a countertop oven cooks: hot air moves instead of sitting still, so a tray of cookies browns evenly front to back, a chicken crisps on every side and most dishes finish 20 to 30 percent sooner than in a still oven. The best countertop convection ovens now replace the big oven for everything but a holiday roast. We ranked the convection ovens in our home and kitchen catalog by interior capacity and what fits (a 9x13 pan, a 12-inch pizza, a whole chicken), wattage and top temperature, the number of useful presets, whether the fan speed and heat zones can be adjusted, how much counter they take, and what thousands of owners report after months of daily use.

We have not baked in every one of these ourselves; the verdicts rest on the spec sheets and on the owner review history. Prices are not printed because they change daily; every button opens the live Amazon page. If you mainly want toast and reheating, our toaster ovens guide covers smaller models, and the air fryer toaster ovens guide covers the crisping specialists.

How we picked

  • A fan, not just a label. Every pick has a working convection fan or, on the smallest BLACK+DECKER, a natural-convection interior designed to circulate air. Plain toaster ovens were left out.
  • Capacity that is stated. We only include ovens whose listing says what fits: slices of toast, pan size, pizza size or whole chickens.
  • Owner feedback that is consistently positive across hundreds to tens of thousands of reviews, with honest notes on the common complaints.
  • Useful controls. Adjustable timers with a stay-on mode, separate toast timers, presets that people actually use, and on the premium picks, a probe, fan speeds or dual heat zones.
  • A spread of budgets and sizes, from a four-slice oven for a studio apartment to a 47-quart French door oven that roasts a turkey.

The picks

BLACK+DECKER TO3250XSBD 8-Slice Extra Wide Convection Countertop Toaster Oven, Includes Bake Pan, Broil Rack & Toasting Rack, Stainless Steel/Black
Capacity8 slices; fits a 9x13 pan with handles or a 12 inch pizzaConvectionFan convection; bake, broil, toast, keep warmTimer60 minute timer with stay-on, plus a dedicated toast timerRacks3 rack positions; bake pan, broil rack and toasting rack includedFinishStainless steel and blackBest forFamilies who want to stop preheating the big oven

The TO3250XSBD is the convection oven most people should buy because it solves the problem most countertop ovens have: nothing you already own fits inside. This one takes a standard 9x13 pan with the handles on, a 12-inch pizza, or eight slices of toast, so lasagna, brownies and a sheet of chicken thighs cook in it without a second set of bakeware. The convection fan circulates heat for even baking, there is a 60-minute timer with a stay-on setting for longer bakes plus a separate toast timer, and three rack positions handle tall roasts or two trays. Thousands of owners have bought it and the feedback is strong. The honest caveat is in BLACK+DECKER’s own listing: the oven runs cooler than the dial setting by design, so most owners set it 25 degrees higher and move on. It is a dial oven with no presets, which the Cuisinart below fixes.

Pros
  • Fits a full 9x13 pan with handles, rare at this price
  • Thousands of owner reviews with a strong owner rating
  • Separate 60 minute bake timer and toast timer
  • Three rack positions and all the trays in the box
Cons
  • Listing warns that actual oven temperature runs lower than the dial, so expect to adjust
  • Dial controls, no digital display or presets
  • Large footprint on a small counter

BLACK+DECKER 4-Slice Toaster Oven with Natural Convection, Stainless Steel, TO1760SS (TO1760SST-1)
Capacity4 slices or a 9 inch pizzaConvectionNatural convection interior; convection bake, broil, toast, keep warmPower1150WTimer30 minute timer with stay-onIncludedRack and bake panBest forApartments, dorms and second ovens

The TO1760SS is the convection oven for people with no counter to spare. It holds four slices of bread or a 9-inch pizza, runs on 1150 watts, and offers convection bake, broil, toast and keep warm on simple dials with a 30-minute timer that can stay on for longer jobs. BLACK+DECKER calls its interior natural convection: there is no fan, but the cavity is shaped to move hot air around the food, and owners say toast and reheated pizza come out more evenly than in a basic toaster oven. It is also one of the most-bought ovens on Amazon, with tens of thousands of owner reviews behind a strong rating. Do not expect it to roast a chicken or bake a casserole; its job is breakfast, snacks and small dinners for one or two, and it does that for the price of a few takeout meals.

Pros
  • Smallest and cheapest convection oven here
  • Tens of thousands of owner reviews with a strong owner rating
  • Four settings cover everyday reheating, toast and small bakes
  • Stainless front fits any kitchen
Cons
  • Natural convection, not a fan; airflow is gentler than the fan models
  • 9 inch pizza limit and no room for a 9x13 pan
  • 30 minute timer is short for roasting

Black+Decker Countertop Convection Toaster Oven, 8 One-touch Cooking Functions, Stainless Steel
Capacity6 slicesConvectionFan convection for fast, even bakingPresets8 one-touch functions incl. bagel, pizza, frozen snacks, potatoes and cookiesIncludedBroiler pan and removable crumb trayFinishStainless steelBest forCooks who want to press one button

This BLACK+DECKER sits between the two above: a six-slice stainless oven with a real convection fan and eight one-touch functions for the things people actually cook in a countertop oven, including bagels, pizza, frozen snacks, potatoes and cookies. Press the button, and time and temperature are set; the fan keeps baking even. It comes with a broiler pan and a removable crumb tray, and thousands of owners rate it strongly. Compared with the 8-slice model it gives up some interior room, so a 9x13 pan is out, and the presets, while convenient, are fixed programs rather than a true digital oven with adjustable everything. It is the right pick for someone who wants convection results without learning a new appliance.

Pros
  • Eight one-touch presets instead of guessing times
  • Fan convection in a mid-size six-slice oven
  • Thousands of owner reviews with a strong owner rating
  • Broiler pan included
Cons
  • Smaller than the 8-slice TO3250XSBD for similar money
  • Presets are fixed; power users will want manual control
  • Owners mention the exterior gets hot

Cuisinart Convection Toaster Oven, 15-Function, 1800W, Stainless Steel
Capacity0.95 cu ft; 13 inch pizza, 9x13 pan, 9 slices or a whole chickenPower1800W with Exact Heat temperature controlFunctions15 incl. Dual Cook, Speed Convection, pizza, bake, broil, toast, waffle, bagel, keep warmIncluded13 inch pizza stone, two racks, enamel 9x13 pan, broiling panInteriorNonstick, auto-slide rack, blue backlit displayWarrantyLimited 3 year

The Cuisinart Chef Convection is the countertop oven for people who bake. Its 1800-watt elements and Exact Heat control hold temperature precisely, the roomy 0.95-cubic-foot interior takes a 13-inch pizza on the included stone, a 9x13 pan or a whole chicken, and 15 functions include two that matter: Dual Cook, which chains two settings such as bake then broil, and Speed Convection, which starts cooking without preheating. The nonstick interior wipes clean, the rack slides out with the door, and Cuisinart backs it with a three-year warranty and a PFAS-free claim. Thousands of owners rate it strongly, and the consistent praise is for even browning on cookies and bread. It costs several times what the BLACK+DECKER ovens do and takes real counter space, which is the only reason it is not number one.

Pros
  • 1800 watts and Exact Heat for accurate, fast baking
  • Dual Cook runs two functions in sequence, Speed Convection skips preheat
  • Pizza stone and enamel pan in the box
  • Thousands of owner reviews with a strong owner rating
Cons
  • Priced like three of the BLACK+DECKER ovens
  • Big footprint for a toaster oven
  • Digital controls take a few uses to learn

KitchenAid Dual Convection Countertop Oven - KCO255
ConvectionDual Convection Bake, up to 20 percent faster on a 3 lb chickenProbeBuilt-in temperature probeCapacityFits two whole chickens or a 9x13 pan (included)Functions12 presets incl. bake, cookie, pizza and dough proofingDisplayDigital display with interior lightBest forRoasts, whole birds and bread

The KitchenAid KCO255 is the pick for the cook who roasts: it uses two convection fans rather than one, which KitchenAid says cooks a three-pound chicken up to 20 percent faster than its own bake setting, and it has a built-in temperature probe that stops cooking when the inside of the roast reaches your number. The interior fits two whole chickens or the included 9x13 pan, there are 12 presets including a dough-proofing mode and a cookie mode, and an interior light lets you check progress without opening the door. Its owner rating is the highest among the full-size ovens on this page, though from fewer reviews than the BLACK+DECKER and Cuisinart models. It costs about what the Cuisinart does, so the choice between them is probe and dual fans (KitchenAid) versus pizza stone and 1800 watts (Cuisinart).

Pros
  • Dual convection fans cook faster and more evenly than a single fan
  • Temperature probe ends guesswork on roasts
  • Best owner rating of the larger ovens here
  • Dough proofing preset and interior light
Cons
  • Fewer reviews than the BLACK+DECKER and Cuisinart ovens
  • Premium price
  • Heavy; this is not an oven you move around

Nuwave Bravo XL Pro Air Fryer Toaster Oven, Improved 100% Super Convection
ConvectionSuper convection with 3 selectable fan speedsHeat zonesTop and bottom heaters adjustable 0 to 100 percentTemperature50 to 500 F in 5 degree stepsFunctions12 functions incl. air fry, toast, grill, bake, roast, slow cook, dehydrate, defrost; 100 recipe presetsEvennessClaims 0 to 1 degree difference between rack layersBest forAir frying and multi-rack cooking

The Bravo XL Pro gives you the controls that pro ovens have: three fan speeds, top and bottom heaters that can each be set from zero to 100 percent, and a range from 50 to 500 degrees in five-degree steps. That means a pizza with a crisp base and a gently browned top, a dehydrator run at low heat with the fan on, or a true air fry at full blast. Nuwave claims the upgraded fan keeps rack-to-rack temperature within a degree, which is why owners like it for cooking two trays of wings at once. Twelve functions and 100 one-touch recipe presets cover everything from slow cooking to defrost. Thousands of owners rate it strongly; the recurring complaints are fan noise at speed three and a control panel that takes a week to learn. For the money, no other oven here offers this much adjustment.

Pros
  • Adjustable fan speed and independent top and bottom heat, rare at this price
  • 500 degree ceiling for pizza and searing
  • Air fry, dehydrate and slow cook in one box
  • Thousands of owner reviews with a strong owner rating
Cons
  • Many buttons and 100 presets to scroll through
  • Owners report the fan is loud at top speed
  • Nuwave app and recipe presets are not for everyone

Ninja DCT451 12-in-1 Smart Double Oven with FlexDoor, Thermometer, FlavorSeal, Smart Finish, Rapid Top Convection and Air Fry Bottom , Stainless Steel
DesignFlexDoor opens the top oven alone or both ovens togetherOvensTop Rapid Oven: bake, broil, reheat, keep warm, bagel, toast; Bottom: air fry, convection bake, pizza, air roast, whole roast, dehydrateThermometerLeave-in Smart Cook thermometerSmart FinishSyncs both ovens so two dishes finish togetherClaimUp to 65 percent faster meal-making than a traditional ovenBest forCooking a main and a side at the same time

The Ninja Double Oven is for the household that always has a main and a side fighting over one oven. Its FlexDoor opens just the top Rapid Oven for toast, bagels and quick sheet-pan meals, or the whole front for the bottom convection and air fry oven that handles roasts, pizza, air frying and dehydrating. Smart Finish syncs the two so a chicken and a tray of vegetables land at the same time, a leave-in thermometer monitors the roast, and FlavorSeal stops the garlic bread smelling of fish. Ninja claims up to 65 percent faster meal-making than cooking back to back in a conventional oven. Owners rate it strongly and most call it a big oven replacement. It is the priciest pick here and each of the two cavities is smaller than a single large oven, so a 9x13 pan goes in the bottom only.

Pros
  • Two independent ovens in one countertop footprint
  • Smart Finish times two dishes to finish together
  • Leave-in thermometer and FlavorSeal keeps smells separate
  • Best owner rating of the air-fry capable ovens here
Cons
  • Most expensive oven on this page
  • Tall; check cabinet clearance
  • Each oven is smaller than a single large oven

Elite Gourmet ETO4510B# French Door Convection Oven 47.5Qt, Stainless Steel
Capacity45 L (47.5 qt); 18 slices on two racks, two 12 inch pizzas or a 7 lb turkeyDoorsFrench double doors open one or bothConvectionConvection fan plus rotisserie spit and forkControlsSeparate top and bottom temperature knobs to 450 F; 60 minute timerRacks4 rack positions; slide-out crumb and grease trayBest forBig families and rotisserie fans

The Elite Gourmet French Door oven is here for capacity: 47.5 quarts, enough for 18 slices of toast across two racks, two 12-inch pizzas at once, or a seven-pound turkey on the included rotisserie spit. The two doors swing sideways like a French door fridge, so it needs less space in front, and separate knobs for the top and bottom elements let you run one, both, or a lopsided mix for a crisp pizza base. Four rack positions and a slide-out crumb and grease tray round it out. It is a budget big oven, and the owner rating reflects that: it is the lowest here, with complaints about uneven heat across such a wide cavity and doors that do not always sit flush. If you need the volume and not precision, it delivers more oven per dollar than anything else on the page.

Pros
  • Largest interior here: a 7 lb turkey or two 12 inch pizzas
  • Rotisserie spit included
  • French doors save swing room on a crowded counter
  • Independent top and bottom heat knobs
Cons
  • Lowest owner rating on this page; owners mention uneven heat and door fit
  • Dial controls and no presets
  • Needs a lot of counter and clearance

What size convection oven do you need?

Measure what you cook, not the counter. A 9x13 pan with handles is the usual breaking point: the BLACK+DECKER 8-slice, the Cuisinart and the KitchenAid take one, the 4-slice and 6-slice BLACK+DECKER ovens do not. A whole chicken needs about ten inches of interior height; the Cuisinart, KitchenAid, Nuwave and Elite Gourmet manage it. Pizza is the other test: nine inches in the smallest oven, twelve in the mid-size ovens, thirteen on the Cuisinart’s stone and two twelves in the French door oven. Then check depth, since most of the larger picks are 18 to 22 inches deep and need a couple of inches of clearance from the wall and the cabinet above for the exhaust.

Convection, air fry and dual fans explained

Every oven here moves air, but not the same way. Natural convection (the 4-slice BLACK+DECKER) shapes the cavity so hot air rises and falls past the food without a fan; it is quieter and gentler and best for toast and reheating. Fan convection (the other BLACK+DECKERs, Cuisinart, Elite Gourmet) pushes air with one fan for faster, more even baking. Dual convection (KitchenAid) adds a second fan to even out hot spots on roasts. Air fry (Nuwave, Ninja) is convection at its fastest, with a high-speed fan and top heat to crisp food in a basket. The Nuwave is the one oven that lets you pick the fan speed yourself, which is why it can both dehydrate and air fry well.

Controls and the features worth paying for

Dial ovens like the BLACK+DECKER models are cheap and durable but ask you to know your times. Presets (the 8-function BLACK+DECKER, Cuisinart, KitchenAid, Nuwave) are worth it if you cook the same things weekly. A temperature probe (KitchenAid, Ninja) is the single most useful upgrade for anyone who roasts meat, because it ends the cut-and-peek routine. Independent top and bottom heat (Nuwave, Elite Gourmet) is what makes a countertop oven bake good pizza. And remember that convection runs hot: drop recipe temperatures by about 25 degrees or cut time by a fifth until you learn a particular oven, and treat the BLACK+DECKER 8-slice’s low-reading dial as the exception that runs the other way. For reheating and defrosting rather than baking, our microwaves guide covers the other half of the counter.

What is the difference between a convection oven and a toaster oven?

A toaster oven heats with still elements; a convection oven adds a fan (or a cavity shaped to circulate air) so heat reaches every side of the food. Convection bakes and roasts more evenly and about 20 to 30 percent faster. Most of the ovens here do both: they toast, and they convection bake.

Can a countertop convection oven replace my full-size oven?

For most weeknight cooking, yes. The Cuisinart, KitchenAid, Nuwave, Ninja and Elite Gourmet picks all roast a whole chicken and bake in a 9x13 pan. A holiday turkey above seven pounds, a double batch of bread or two full sheet pans still need the big oven.

Do I need to adjust recipes for convection?

Usually. Lower the temperature by about 25 degrees F or shorten the time by roughly 20 percent and check early. Several ovens here have a convection bake setting that makes the adjustment for you. The BLACK+DECKER 8-slice runs cooler than its dial by design, so owners set it higher instead.

Which convection oven is best for pizza?

The Cuisinart Chef Convection, which includes a 13 inch pizza stone, and the Nuwave Bravo XL Pro, whose top and bottom heaters can be set separately and reach 500 degrees. The Elite Gourmet French Door oven fits two 12 inch pizzas at once.

Is an air fryer toaster oven the same as a convection oven?

An air fryer oven is a convection oven with a faster fan and a basket. The Nuwave Bravo XL Pro and the bottom oven of the Ninja Double Oven air fry; the BLACK+DECKER, Cuisinart, KitchenAid and Elite Gourmet ovens are conventional convection ovens that bake and roast but do not have a dedicated air fry mode.
