What Do Best Deal is
Do Best Deal is an independent buying-guide site for shoppers in the United States, founded in 2026. We publish short, editor-written guides (328 so far) for PC parts, peripherals, monitors, laptops, audio, home and kitchen products, jewelry and other everyday tech, and we rank the products in them with real owner data rather than hype. The catalog behind the guides holds 42,061 products; 16,792 of them have enough owner reviews to carry a full page with our score.
How products are scored
Every product carries a score out of 10. It is computed from three inputs, in this order of weight:
- Amazon owner rating. The average star rating from verified Amazon.com owners. A product needs a strong rating to rank, and a rating under 4.0 stars is a hard limit for a top pick.
- Review count. A 4.7-star product with 40 reviews is not the same as one with 4,000. More owner reviews mean the rating is trustworthy and that long-term problems (dropped connections, failed batteries, shine on keycaps) would have shown up. Products with fewer than 10 owner reviews never get a full page and are not listed in our sitemap.
- Spec checks. We read the spec sheet against what the product claims and what its category needs: panel type, refresh rate and ports for a monitor; switch type and wireless mode for a keyboard; sensor, battery and weight for a mouse; capacity, interface and endurance for storage; material, clasp and plating for jewelry. Specs that are missing, inconsistent or clearly worse than the price class pull the score down; specs that stand out push it up.
Those two numbers are also what the score on every product page is made of: a volume-weighted owner rating, explained on the how we test page. Where we have used a product ourselves we say so in the guide; where we have not, the guide quotes the owner rating and review count it relies on. Who writes it
The editor is Raihan Khan. Software developer and hardware tinkerer. I have built, broken and fixed more PCs than I can count, and I write about the gear that actually earned a spot on my desk.
Guides are written and revised by the editor, not generated from spec feeds. Product pages combine the imported Amazon data (rating, review count, specs, photos) with our score, pros and cons and a short question-and-answer section.
