About Do Best Deal

Who runs this site, why it exists, and how it makes money.

What this site is

Do Best Deal is a small, independent review site for PC hardware, peripherals and everyday tech. It exists because most "best of" lists online are either forty products long or written by someone who has never touched the gear. We keep lists short, explain the trade-offs in plain language, and tell you which one to buy for a given budget.

Who writes it

Hi, I am Raihan Khan. Software developer and hardware tinkerer. I have built, broken and fixed more PCs than I can count, and I write about the gear that actually earned a spot on my desk.

By day I write software, which means I spend eight-plus hours at a desk and care a lot about the keyboard, mouse and monitor in front of me. By night I build and troubleshoot PCs for friends and family, which is where most of the "what should I buy?" questions on this site come from.

How the site makes money

Through affiliate links, mainly the Amazon Associates program. When you click a product link and buy something, Amazon pays us a small commission. The price you pay is the same either way. Read the full affiliate disclosure.

Affiliate income never changes which products we recommend. If a great product has no affiliate program, it still goes on the list. If a bad product would earn a higher commission, it stays off.

What we do not do

  • We do not accept payment for placement or positive reviews.
  • We do not publish sponsored posts disguised as reviews.
  • We do not copy spec sheets and call it a review. See how we test.
